Scissor Lifts

Genie GS-3384

Scissor lifts make working in high locations easy. A scissor lift is a mobile form of scaffolding which can be elevated to allow access to high working places and can be maneuvered by the operator at the top of the scissor lift. Scissor lifts gained their name from the elevating shafts that fold in on themselves in a manner reminiscent of the opening and closing of scissors. A standard scissor lift consists of a metal platform (known as the lift table) several feet in length, which can sometimes be elongated with an extension deck.
They posses sufficient space to allow multiple workers to move about, as well as a base on which tools can be placed for easy access. The base of the scissor lift houses the machinery and is either motor-driven or moved by towing.

The lift table and base are connected by means of a criss-crossed drive shaft, which uses hydraulic force to elevate the work area and can be easily compressed in upon itself when lowered.
